This concept is unfortunately relevant to the so-called “right” and “left”. While “Progressives” proudly praise the need for Federal and State social safety nets; “Conservatives” delude themselves by paying lip service to free markets and individual responsibility, while extolling the necessity of taxes and Nationalized safety services.
